Alhaurin el Grande is a beautiful little village located in the hills of Sierra de Mijas. It overlooks the amazing Guadalhorce valley and offers amusement for all ages. We invite you to wonder around through the tiny spanish streets, enjoy the amazing food and hike through the in the Area. The main street of Alhaurin el Grande is just a few minutes away from Casa Luz del Sur. We would love to provide you with tips about the village as well as nice restaurants and tapas bars.

Golf

Costa del Golf is the nickname of the Costa del Sol which means all golfers will be spoiled with excellent golf courses in the area. There are a number of excellent courses within a short drive of Casa Luz del Sur and we would be happy to help you book your tee times. Lauro golf course is just a few minutes away and offers a challenging 27 hole course.

Málaga

With around 320 days of sunshine every year, you will enjoy lazing along Málaga’s beaches or simply strolling along its endless narrow streets. With its average temperature of 22ªC it is the perfect place to visit anytime of the year. The city has over 20 museums. They offer from contemporary art to religious and traditional art. It is worth it to visit the Alcazaba, Picasso Museum, Carmen Thyssen Museum… But Málaga has so much more to enjoy! Do not hesitate to ask.

Beaches

It is just a short 20 minute drive to all the beautiful and famous beaches of towns like Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Marbella and of course of our beloved Málaga. The beaches of the Málaga province are known for their width and of course for the good food that can be consumed while looking out over the sea.

Sports

There are numerous options for different kinds of sports in the area. Casa Luz del Sur is just a few minutes away from Fuente del Acebuche which is very popular with mountain bikers, runners and hikers due to its beauty and steep hills. Furthermore, wonderful hiking trails are numerous throughout the entire area. The most special trail is the Camino de Rey, in this hike you walk next to a mountain (see photo) it provides you with a big thrill and beautiful views.
